  1. As a Christian you will encounter some opposition in the world. Why is this?
    1. Because Jesus was opposed (John 15:18-21).
    2. If you live for Him.  (2 Timothy 3:12)
       
  2. List the sources of opposition you will face.
    1. Those who know you best (Matthew 10:35-36)
    2. Lost people in general (Galatians 4:29)
    3. Society in general (1 John 2:15-17)
    4. Satan (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
       
  3. There are ways the Christian can deal with opposition from the world. Briefly explain how the following verses can help you.
    1. Proverbs 15:1         Give a soft answer. “A soft answer turneth away wrath.”
    2. Proverbs 16:7         Please God with your life; make peace with your enemies.
    3. 1 John 5:4-5           Have faith in God that you can overcome.
    4. Romans 12:20-21   Love your enemies and help them.
    5. Matthew 5:44          Pray for your enemies; pray with pure motives.
    6. Proverbs 13:20       Keep good company; associate yourself with people that love God.
    7. Romans 12:2          Immerse yourself in the Word of God. (Renew your mind.
       
  4. When lost people observe your life, what should they see?
    1. They should know that you love God (1 Corinthians 8:3)
    2. They should see your lifestyle as separate from the world and your behavior as a testimony
      to others
      (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
    3. Moderate in all things (not extreme) Philippians 4:5
    4. Open and honest (2 Corinthians 8:21)
    5. They should see a loving testimony of the grace of God (Philippians 2:14-15)
    6. They should see you as a person of “good report” (1 Timothy 3:7)
       
  5. As you look at the lost world, what is your position?
    1. You are a pilgrim in a strange land (Hebrews 11:13)
    2. Your home is in heaven (Ephesians 2:6)
    3. Your mission is to reach the lost for Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20)
       
  6. God has ordained three institutions for man. List them.
    1.  Government (4:5-6)

  7. As Christians, we have responsibilities concerning our government. List four primary responsibilities.
    1. Do what’s right (Romans 13:4-5)
    2. Render to government what is due by law (Romans 13:6-7)
    3. Submit to ordinances (1 Peter 2:13-15)
    4. Honor those in authority (1 Peter 2:17-23)
       
  8. Many “Christian” groups today are trying to force morality on people through the passing of laws. Why won’t this process work?

Man is by nature fallen and sinful and must be changed from the inside out through a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord.
