Learning How to Wait
One of the most difficult task in reference to out message “God’s Approach to Difficult Situations” is learning how to wait in our difficult situations. In our previous messages of this series, God has commanded us to rejoice in the situation, to recognize the nearess of God in the situation and today we see points that relate to waiting in difficult situations.
Learning how to wait on Him is an area that all Christians should be asking God to expand in their spiritual lives.
Learning how to wait involves:
- Not getting overly anxious and uptight in the situation.
- Staying prayerful in the situation.
- Being thankful in the midst of the situation.
- Knowing who to call on in our situation.
- Keeping our hearts and minds on the right things.
- Practicing the things that we have learned.
As we seek to apply these things, we must:
A. Always keep our focus on God
B. My focus will be largely determined by my mindset
C. My mindset will control my actions
D. My actions should reflect where I am in my relationship with God.
Thank you God for situations that challenge us to wait and grow in our relationship with you. Thank you for the comfort of knowing that you are a prayer answering God. God help us to always keep our hearts and minds stayed on you. In JESUS name. We pray. AMEN!
