Why should you view your job as a ministry opportunity?
- Fellow workers probably have the greatest exposure to lost people.
- Your life may be the only true witness they ever see. (Matthew 5:14-16)

You will have a much greater influence on those you spend the most time with.

What are the attitudes that you should have toward your company and/or supervisor?

Serve as if the Lord Jesus Christ is your employer. (Ephesians 6:5-8;
Colossians 3:22-24) - Respect authority
- Respect your company’s time (2 Corinthians 8:21; Colossians 3:2)
- Respect your company’s property (Leviticus 19:11)
- Do the very best you can to help the company succeed and make your employer look good. (Romans 12:11; 1 Corinthians 10:24)

Mind your own business and don’t let someone else’s laziness affect you.

- What should you do when your job schedule does not allow you to be involved in church activities?
Remember a job is a ministry opportunity. However, you must not use your job to neglect your responsibilities to your church.
- Jobs, at times, may contain responsibilities that violate biblical principles. List three areas of which to be aware.
- Refuse to lie or seal from your employer or violate other clear commandments of God.
- Guard against temptations on your job.
- Don’t be influenced by sinful activities around you.

What should you consider if someone at work gives you a hard time concerning your Christian faith?
- Is my behavior improper or is my testimony an offence to someone else?
- Expect a certain amount of adversity from the world if you are truly seeking Jesus Christ.
- Learn how to commit (give) that adversity to the Lord.

When you are looking for a new job, what should you consider?
- Have you taken it to the Lord in prayer?
- Will the new responsibility destroy what God is trying to build in your life?
