LaNelle Southard was born and raised in Salina, KS. After attending Emporia State University, she received a BS degree in Business Management with a minor in Accounting.
She married Marlon Southard in July of 1997. Urged by the Holy Spirit very early in their marriage, she developed a great desire to do marriage God’s way. She received the majority of her training and teaching from a marriage ministry group formed at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Topeka, KS. After relocating to Kansas City, LaNelle and her husband became part of a core group of members from various churches in the KC area to help start marriage ministry groups within local churches. LaNelle and her husband are currently members of New Generation Christian Center in Lee’s Summit, MO where they are instructors for the marriage ministry group started there this past fall under the leadership of Pastor Ron and Sis. Kelsey Kelly.
As she continues to be encouraged, strengthened, and blessed by the word of God in her marriage, her passion to share with others continues to deepen. Please pray for and with her as she shares with us in this retreat – jewels sparkling for Jesus in marriage. In this workshop we will be examining the word of God to put in to practice the wisdom and knowledge it contains that will strengthen and enhance our marriages so that God will be glorified and pleased with the service we render to our spouse and ultimately to Him.
