Why We Cannot Be Silent
Resurrection Day is one of the most exciting and passionate times of the year for the believer. The week leading up to the day that we celebrate the resurrection of Christ has been labeled as Passion Week. I truly believe that this week, this month, and our lives ought to have passion. We ought to be passionate about Christ.
As we look at the message this week and the time leading up to the crucifying and resurrection of Christ, let us be reminded that we cannot be silent. We cannot be timid about our belief in Christ and about our relationship with Christ. We must be bold.
Points to Remember:
We cannot be silent:
Because of what He has done
Because of who He is.
Because of whom He represents.
Because of where His ministry reigns
Because if we do not praise Him, He will still get his praise.
Application:
1. All believer needs to stop and acknowledge the movement of God in our lives.
2. Every believer needs to seek and acknowledge God just because of who He is and not just what he has done and can do for us
3. Every believer needs to see Jesus as God.
4. Every believer needs to see and appreciate the impact of the ministry of Jesus Christ
5. Every believer needs to be bold about our belief in Jesus Christ
Closing prayer:
Lord I come this morning that you would stir in every believer a passion for You. Lord give us a passion to speak boldly about our belief in you. Lord help us to act passionately about You in our everyday lives. Lord, let us not just be excited about you this week or on Resurrection Day; but, give us zeal according to knowledge everyday. Lord I thank you in advance that our passion will spill over on someone else; someone who is unsaved, someone who has lost their zeal, someone who is unchurched, someone who is churched and has become discouraged. God, thank you for sending your Son for us. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN.
